Regional Privacy Rights
Additional disclosures and rights that apply based on where you live or where Kaltiq processes your information.
Version 1.0 · Prepared 16 October 2026
1. European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or corresponding Swiss law applies, Kaltiq acts as controller for platform accounts and service operations. Depending on the processing, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may complain to your local supervisory authority. The interim regional and DPO contact is admin@kaltiq.com; any legally required local representative must be formally appointed and published before production launch in that market.
Where the EU Digital Services Act applies, Kaltiq will explain content restrictions and automated moderation, provide notice-and-action and complaint routes, issue reasons for material moderation decisions where required, and publish required transparency information. Kaltiq will not rely on dark patterns or implied consent for non-essential device storage.
2. United States
Kaltiq does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined by applicable state law. Subject to jurisdiction, thresholds and exceptions, residents may have rights to know or access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain profiling, and limit particular uses of sensitive personal information. Kaltiq will not discriminate for exercising a right. An authorised agent may submit a request where law allows, subject to verification. Recognised browser opt-out signals will be honoured where legally required.
California disclosures cover the categories, sources, purposes and recipients listed in the Privacy Notice. Kaltiq must provide a working request method and an accessible link in the app settings before California launch. Kaltiq is not directed to children under 13 and will not knowingly collect their data without a legally valid process under COPPA. State consumer-protection, biometric, call-recording and communications laws may impose additional duties.
3. India
Where India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and rules are in force and apply, Kaltiq will give a clear notice, obtain or otherwise establish a lawful basis recognised by the Act, provide access to information about processing, correction, completion, updating, erasure, grievance redressal and nomination rights, and publish the required contact. India generally treats a person under 18 as a child for this framework; child processing and verifiable parental consent must therefore be disabled or specially implemented before offering the service to minors in India. Statutory exceptions and phased commencement apply.
4. Brazil
Where the LGPD applies, users may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymisation, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or unlawfully processed data, portability where regulated, information about sharing, consent information and withdrawal, and review of qualifying automated decisions. Kaltiq must identify its controller and data-protection contact. Services accessible to children or adolescents must also satisfy Brazil’s child-focused digital protections and best-interests standard.
5. Canada
Where PIPEDA or substantially similar provincial law applies, Kaltiq will follow accountability, identified purposes, meaningful consent, minimisation, accuracy, safeguards, openness, access and challenge principles. You may request information about the existence, use and disclosure of personal information and challenge its accuracy, subject to lawful exceptions. Applicable breach reporting and recordkeeping duties remain in force.
6. Australia and New Zealand
Where applicable, Kaltiq will comply with the Australian Privacy Principles or New Zealand Privacy Act, including notice, use and disclosure limits, access and correction, security, deletion or de-identification when no longer needed, cross-border disclosure safeguards, and applicable breach notification. Complaints may be made to the relevant privacy regulator after Kaltiq has had a reasonable opportunity to respond.
7. Singapore and other Asia-Pacific jurisdictions
Where Singapore’s PDPA applies, Kaltiq will appoint and publish a data-protection contact, notify purposes, use consent or another permitted basis, permit withdrawal with notice, provide applicable access and correction, protect data, limit retention and assess transfers. Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, the UAE and other jurisdictions may add localisation, consent, breach, child-protection or representative requirements; Kaltiq will enable a country only after a documented launch assessment.
8. Country availability and feature controls
Calling, encryption, payments, virtual assets, location sharing, recordings, public channels and self-destructing messages may be unavailable or modified where law, sanctions, licensing, safety or infrastructure requires. Geo-signals may be used to apply a rule, but a reviewer/test override is only for authorised app-store testing and never for evading law. VPN detection may trigger a challenge, limited functionality or a block, with an appeal path where required.
9. Exercising rights
Email admin@kaltiq.com. State your country and request. Kaltiq may verify identity proportionately, cannot disclose another person’s information, and will explain any denial and available appeal or regulator route. Appeals may be sent to appeals@kaltiq.com.
